Understanding Your Passwords at Thexyz
At Thexyz, you may have two different passwords. These passwords are used for different services and are often confused.
- Client Area Password — used to log in to billing, services, and mailbox management.
- Mailbox Password — used to access webmail and email apps (Outlook, iPhone Mail, Thunderbird, etc.).
Changing one password does not change the other.

How to Change Your Mailbox Password (Thexyz Email)
Option 1 — From Webmail
- Log in to mail.thexyz.com
- Click your profile image (top right).
- Select My Account.
- Choose Change Password.
- Enter your current password and new password.
- Click Save.
After changing your password, update it in your email apps and mobile devices.
How to Reset Mailbox Password from the Client Area
- Log in to Client Area
- Click Services.
- Select your email hosting service.
- Locate the mailbox and click Reset Password.
Classic Email Users (Older Platform)
In case you ever forget your password, it's useful to set up automatic password resets through SMS or enable Multi-Factor Authentication. If you have not set up MFA with either an authenticator app or SMS, then you may be able to reset the password through the client area or the email admin portal if you are using a custom domain name.

- Go to Client Area Login
- Click Forgot Password.
- Follow the instructions sent to your email.
