Thexyz Webmail includes a Send Later feature (also called Schedule send) that lets you write an email now and have it delivered automatically at a date and time you choose. It is useful when you are writing outside business hours, emailing someone in another time zone, or preparing reminders and follow-ups in advance.
Scheduled messages are sent from our servers at the time you choose, so you do not need to keep your browser open or stay signed in.
Schedule an email
- Sign in to webmail at mail.thexyz.com.
- Click Compose and write your message as usual, including the recipient and subject.
- Instead of clicking Send, click the arrow next to the Send button and choose Schedule send.
- Pick one of the quick options, such as Today 5 PM, Tomorrow 9 AM, or Monday 9 AM — or set your own Date, Time, and Timezone.
- Click Schedule send.
The timezone field matters: the message is delivered at the chosen time in the timezone shown. If you are scheduling an email for a recipient in another part of the world, you can set the timezone to theirs and pick a time that suits them.
Where scheduled messages are stored
After you schedule a message, it moves to the Scheduled folder, listed under Smart folders in the left sidebar. It stays there until the scheduled time arrives, at which point it is sent automatically and appears in Sent items like any other message.
Edit, reschedule, or cancel a scheduled email
Open the Scheduled folder and select the message. The toolbar gives you four options:
- Edit — reopen the message in the compose window to change the content or recipients.
- Send now — skip the wait and deliver the message immediately.
- Reschedule — pick a new date and time.
- Cancel send — stop the message from being sent. It will not be delivered.
You can edit or cancel a scheduled message any time before its scheduled send time.
Using Send Later on your phone or tablet
The same feature is available in webmail on mobile devices. Open mail.thexyz.com in your phone or tablet browser, compose a message, tap the arrow next to Send, and choose your schedule.
Frequently asked questions
Does my computer need to stay on?
No. Scheduled messages are sent by the Thexyz mail servers, so you can close your browser, shut down your computer, or go offline after scheduling.
Can I schedule a message from a desktop email app like Outlook or Thunderbird?
Send Later is a webmail feature. Messages must be scheduled from mail.thexyz.com, but once scheduled they will send regardless of which apps you use for email day to day.
Is Send Later included with my plan?
Yes. Send Later is included with all current Thexyz email hosting plans at no extra cost. If you are using our classic webmail platform and do not see the option, contact support about moving to the current platform.
