My calendar is not syncing with my phone

If your calendar events are missing from your mobile device but show up in Webmail, the issue usually comes down to how your account is configured on your phone. Standard IMAP setups only sync email, not calendars.

Follow these steps to get your schedule syncing correctly across all your devices.


1. Confirm your sync method and enable calendars

First, verify that your device is using a protocol that actually supports calendar syncing, and that the feature is turned on.

  1. Open your device’s Settings app.
  2. Navigate to Accounts (or Mail → Accounts on iOS) and select your Thexyz account.
  3. Check your account type. It must be set up as either Exchange / ActiveSync (syncs mail, calendar, and contacts) or CalDAV (syncs only calendars).
  4. Ensure the Calendars toggle is turned ON.

2. Check your default calendar

Phones often default to saving new events to a local calendar, iCloud, or Google. If an event is saved to the wrong calendar on your phone, it will never sync back up to Thexyz.

  • Open your calendar app’s settings and verify your default calendar is set to your Thexyz account.
  • When creating a new event, double-check the "Calendar" field to ensure you are saving it to your Thexyz, CalDAV, or Exchange calendar.

3. Toggle the calendar sync off and on

Sometimes the connection just gets stuck and needs a quick restart.

  1. Go back to your device’s account settings and select your Thexyz account.
  2. Turn the Calendars sync toggle OFF.
  3. Wait about one minute, then turn it back ON.
  4. Give your calendar app a few minutes to fetch the data and resynchronize.

4. Delete and re-add the account

If toggling doesn't work, the local account data on your phone might be corrupted. A fresh connection usually fixes stubborn sync failures:

  1. Remove the Thexyz Exchange or CalDAV account entirely from your device. (Don't worry, your events are safe on the server).
  2. Restart your phone.
  3. Re-add the account using the official Exchange or CalDAV instructions from our Knowledgebase.

Still missing events?

If you've run through these steps and your calendar is still not updating on your phone:

  • Log in to Webmail (whether you are using the newer interface or sticking with Classic Webmail, since there is no forced migration) to confirm the events actually exist on the server.
  • Ensure you don't have duplicate Thexyz accounts active on the same device conflicting with each other.
  • Reach out to Thexyz Support. Be sure to tell us your device type and your sync method (Exchange or CalDAV) so we can dig right in.
