Over the next few weeks, we will be rolling out some updates that we're making to strengthen the security of Thexyz Email Admin Portal.  As you may know, weak passwords are the leading cause of unwanted individuals accessing any type of account (ie. Email, Netflix, banking, etc) on the internet.  Security of your email is of the upmost importance to us.

To that end, we will be releasing two updates on September 28, 2017 to improve security around Thexyz Email admin accounts.

Update 1

On September 28th, the Control Panel will begin enforcing the password requirements below for all newly created admins accounts.  While we're not forcing password changes for existing admin accounts at this time, we strongly recommend updating your admin accounts to meet these password requirements.

Password Requirements:
  • At least 8 characters long
  • At least 3 of the following:
  • One lowercase character
  • One uppercase character
  • One number
  • One non-alphanumeric character (!, $, #, %, space, etc)

If a new password does not meet these requirements, the API and Control Panel will show a combination of the following errors:
  • Password must be at least 8 characters long
  • Password cannot contain tabs, newlines or carriage returns
  • Password must contain a combination of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers and non-alphanumeric characters

Update 2

All Control Panel login page will be updated to include a security enhancement that may prompt an admin if the system thinks that it may be a robot.  If the system thinks a user may be a robot, an admin will be asked to prove that they are human by completing a task similar to the one shown below.

Again, security of your Email & Apps admin accounts are of the up most importance to us, which is why we want to make sure that you were aware of the upcoming changes that will be released on September 28, 2017
