While we'd love to keep you as a customer, we understand that circumstances change. Below is a complete guide to transferring your domain to another registrar.

Before You Begin

Important: Transferring a domain is different from transferring hosting or email services. Please review what services you'll need to migrate separately.

Prerequisites

• Domain must be unlocked
• WHOIS privacy must be disabled
• Domain cannot be within 60 days of registration or previous transfer
• You'll need access to the administrative email address

What to Consider

Before initiating a transfer, please note:

• DNS settings don't transfer automatically - you'll need to recreate these with your new provider
• Email services may be interrupted if currently hosted through Thexyz
• Transfer process takes 5-7 business days and cannot be reversed once approved
• You'll lose access to Thexyz's DNS management, security features, and support

Transfer Process

Step 1: Access Your Domain Settings

1. Log in to your Thexyz account
2. Navigate to: Portal Home → Client Area → My Domains
3. Click on the domain you wish to transfer (e.g., example.com)

Step 2: Obtain Your EPP Authorization Code

1. In your domain settings, locate the EPP Code or Transfer Authorization option
2. Direct link format: https://www.thexyz.com/account/clientarea.php?action=domaingetepp&domainid=XXXX
   • Replace XXXX with your specific domain ID number
3. Copy and securely save the EPP code provided

Step 3: Initiate Transfer at New Registrar

1. Start the transfer process with your new registrar
2. Provide the EPP code when prompted
3. Confirm your administrative contact information

Step 4: Approve Transfer Requests

• Check email for transfer confirmation from both registrars
• Approve the transfer request within the specified timeframe
• Monitor the process through both control panels

Maintaining DNS Service After Transfer

Important: Free DNS management is only available for domains registered with Thexyz. After transferring your domain, your DNS records will no longer be accessible through our free service.

To maintain uninterrupted DNS service:

• Consider purchasing our standalone DNS service before initiating the transfer
• This ensures your website and email continue working without interruption
• All existing DNS records remain intact and manageable through your Thexyz account
