Exporting an email Calendar to another account

edited May 3 in Email

For this demonstration I am migrating calendar data from one account (demo11) to another account (demo22)

Below you will see the calendar in the demo11 account.

I am now going to set this account up on Outlook 2016 using MobileSync. If you do not have Outlook running on your computer, you can download a version of 2013 or 2016 from Thexyz Control Panel.

To get started, click File **on the top left of Outlook and **Add an account.

Select Manual setup or additional server types and click Next.

Select Outlook.com or Exchange ActiveSync compatible service and hit Next.

Enter the setup information as seen below, changing your email address and password with your own.

After clicking Next, it will test the account settings and you should get a confirmation.

It might take a few moments for calendar to sync but we should start to see appointments automatically be added and match those in Webmail. You can see from the screenshot below that the calendar matches the one in the first screenshot above.

Now to export the calendar, click File **at the top right and then **Open & Export. From here select Import/Export as seen below.

Select Export to a file and click Next.

We need the file to be a CSV file so select Comma Separated Values and click Next.

Make sure you select the correct calendar and click Next.

The file needs a name and location so you can find and import later.

Click **Finish **and select a date range that captures all the events you wish to export.

Now login to Webmail and under Calendar **click **Import Events.

Locate your calendar file that was exported from Outlook and click Import.

Now the calendar has been imported to the new account (demo22). Please note that all recurring events will be imported as single occurrences.
